The visa process for teaching English in Russia might take about 4-6 weeks. First we apply for the official government invitation here in Moscow and then we mail it using UPS or such to the teacher.

In the meantime the teacher has to do an HIV test. With the invitation, the HIV test result, and the completed application form, the teacher applies to the Russian consulate or visa processing center. The process and requirements vary depending on the country.
